Multiple fire departments in Connecticut are battling a massive four-alarm fire at the Seaport Marine in Mystic, Connecticut.

The fire broke out around 8:45 p.m. Sunday and has consumed much of Washington Street in the New England city.

According to reportsmore than 10 crews from nearby cities are currently responding to the fire.

Buildings on and near the water appeared severely damaged by the fire that broke out Sunday at the Marine Seaport in Connecticut.

A woman in the area reported hearing a “loud explosion” in Mystic River before going outside to discover the huge flames.

“We are fine and the fire department is working,” the woman captioned the video posted on Twitter Sunday night.

According to EWeather, the fire exacerbated my weather conditions in the area.

‘This video is mystical fire madness. It was so intense, driven by those strong southerly winds, that it’s spinning… like a dust storm or a tornado. Unbelievable,’ the Twitter account said as she shared a video of firefighters fighting the fire.

The 23-second video shows a gigantic cloud of black smoke swirling in front of the intensifying flames on the street.

One person who responded to the tweet said: “I live right next to the building that is on fire and we all had to evacuate.”

Another Twitter user said: ‘My boat was stored in that building until about a year ago. They no longer store anything there. Virtually empty. Thankfully.’
