Home and away star Ray Meagher has talked about life after a great fear of health.
Known for his iconic role as Alf on the Australian TV soap, Ray said New idea he was shocked when a simple visit to the doctor ended in a few weeks ago that he had to undergo emergency surgery.
The 75-year-old said he and his wife Gilly were about to set off for a road trip to Queensland during a movie break when he suddenly became short of breath.

He said he had visited a cardiologist every year for 10 years and thought nothing of it when he went to check in August last year.
& # 39; I had never had any symptoms, but just before I saw him this time, I had a little breathlessness. So I could say to him: "Mate, we have found what we have been looking for for 10 years," he said.
The actor said that after undergoing an angiogram, doctors were alarmed at what they found, and only 48 hours after his first doctor's visit he was on the operating table for a triple bypass in an emergency.
& # 39; I had the angiogram and they said: & # 39; There's a piece of concrete in there … a stent won't move that. So while you are at ease here, you stay & # 39; overnight and we get the chainsaw the next day, "he said sunrise earlier.

Although Ray's health anxiety had a good result, he encouraged others to be aware of their heart health and to be monitored, even if they have only the least symptoms.
Ray said that he has now recovered and that he was happy to be back on the set Home and Away, a show he has appeared on since 1988.
