Ray Hadley and his glamorous former secretary-wife Sophie Baird have only been married for two months.

And the 2GB radio host, 66, has confessed that his beloved husband has made him a happier person.

‘I don’t blame anyone for my accident, but I was very unhappy. Professionally I was happy, but personally I was very unhappy, without knowing that I was unhappy or why, ”he said.

Ray added: ‘I have a powerful job. I am expected to perform every day, and sometimes you lose sight of your priorities. You are not doing what you should be doing in relation to yourself or your family ‘.

He added that the current generation of younger men in his field prioritize their families, and Ray believes they are right when they do.

Ray and Sophie got married in an intimate ceremony in NSW, celebrate the special event with friends and family at Saddles, a fine dining restaurant in Mount White on Saturday, March 27.

Among the 118 guests were Ray’s first wife Anne Marie and his three children Daniel, Laura and Sarah, as well as Sophie’s children Nick and Jessie, from her first marriage.

The newlyweds honeymooned on Hayman Island over the Easter holidays.

Ray and Sophie had to postpone their big day three times last year due to Covid-19.

Ray proposed to Sophie – who was his personal assistant for 16 years – in October 2019 when he left home to host the NRL’s grand final between the Sydney Roosters and Canberra Raiders at Sydney Olympic Park.

With a combination of three previous marriages, the beloved couple has six grown children.

They include Daniel, 30, and Laura, 28, from Hadley’s first marriage to Anne Marie, Emma and Sarah from his second with Suzanne – and Nick, 21, and Jessie, 19, from Sophie’s previous marriage.
