Joondalup woman, 27, accused of stabbing man during alleged domestic violence incident
A woman accused of allegedly murdering a man during an alleged incident of domestic violence has been brought to justice.
The man was fatally stabbed shortly before 9pm on Thursday at an apartment on Plaistow Street in Joondalup, about 28 kilometers north of Perth.
Lauren Vivian Brown appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Saturday after being charged over the man’s death.
The 27-year-old broke down in tears during her court appearance.

Ms Brown remains in custody after refusing to apply for bail.
She heard the alleged murder charge read to her in court, which she admitted.
The deceased man, believed to be in his 30s, was found in serious condition with serious stab wounds.
Paramedics from St John Ambulance WA rushed to the unit to try to save the man, but he died instantly.
Ms. Brown and the man are believed to be in a relationship.

A neighbor, Shane Dinsdale, said Western Australia he heard a woman’s scream in the apartment around 9 p.m. Thursday.

“At first when I heard some minor screams I thought it was a nuisance, but in the end it was quite intense,” Mr Dinsdale said.
“I didn’t hear any man screaming. I just stuck my head out, but there were cops and ambulances, so I was probably done with it.
Another neighbor who lives next to the apartment, Richard King, said he heard a woman screaming for help.
“I didn’t know if it was domestic violence or something else,” he said.
