A judicial source told local media: ‘The Paris prosecutor’s office has been informed of this complaint. Preliminary investigations into the rape charge were entrusted to the first district of the judicial police.

The hotel’s management team said BFM that the masseuse no longer worked at the five-star hotel spa.

The hotel was founded in 1898 and is located in the first arrondissement of Paris, along with several royal palaces, gardens and galleries, including the Louvre.

The hotel, founded by César Ritz, who also founded the Ritz in London, is a stone’s throw from the building that houses the French Ministry of Justice.

It has welcomed celebrities, politicians and even royalty during its 125-year history.

The hotel was the last place Princess Diana and Dodi al-Fayed stayed before they died in 1997.

Dodi’s father Mohamed bought the hotel in 1979 for $20 million, about £67 million today.
