26-year-old Bronx shooting victim found dead in passenger seat of car

The body of a 26-year-old shooting victim was found Monday in the passenger seat of a car in the Bronx, police said.

The victim was found in a Honda CRV on Union Ave around 2:20 p.m., according to police. near E. 168th St. in Morrisania.

He was shot in the abdomen and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police later determined that the victim was blown up about half a mile away, on E. 163rd St. near Reverend James Polite Ave. at Longwood.

Someone then drove the fatally injured man to where his body was left, police said.

His name was not released as police tried to track down his family.

There were no immediate arrests.
