23-year-old driver racks up an incredible 25 speeding tickets in just 19 DAYS after moving

A driver who had recently moved to a country in search of work was was sentenced to prison for racking up more than two dozen speeding tickets in just 19 days.

The 23-year-old Frenchman had been in Norway for just over a month when he was stopped for speeding 25 times between February 6 and 25, according to local media.

The worst offense took place on February 20, when he was caught driving a Kia traveling at more than 110 km/h in an area where the speed limit is around 60 km/h, according to a decision of justice.

The man “represents a danger in traffic”, the Oslo District Court said in documents seen on Monday.

According to the daily Aftenposten, most of his offenses were recorded by fixed radars, the existence of which he was unaware of.

The man had his sentence reduced by three days, from 24 to 21, due to his full confession.

But he will have to manage for a while without his driving license, which the court suspended for a year.

Speeding fine rates in Norway increased significantly last year, according to Localmost increasing by around 30 percent.

Meanwhile, what is considered one of the highest speeding penalties in the world was handed out across the border in Finland last year.

Multi-millionaire businessman Anders Wiklöf has been fined €121,000 (£104,000) for exceeding the speed limit at 30km/h.

Speeding tickets in the country are calculated as a percentage of the offenders’ income.
