The number one pick in the 2025 NFL Draft is still up for grabs for the New England Patriots.
Saturday Defeat 40-7 against the Los Angeles Chargers raised the Patriots’ record in 2024 to 3-13. They still own the second pick heading into Sunday’s games, but will rise to number 1 if the New York Giants (2-13) beat the Indianapolis Colts.
The Patriots have secured a top-five pick as a result of their Week 17 loss.
At the very least, New England will hold onto the second overall pick heading into the final week of the regular season. With the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans (both 3-12) facing off on Sunday, the Patriots will still have a worse schedule regardless of the outcome.
