Millions of Americans will go to the polls in what is shaping up to be one of the closest presidential elections in history.
Voters will decide between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, two candidates who have very different visions of America.
The polls could not be closer as an unprecedented campaign that saw two assassination attempts and the withdrawal of a candidate comes to an end.
On Tuesday at 6:00 pm Eastern time, the first polls will close in Indiana and Kentucky.
Then the United States will wait while votes are counted across the country and the tension begins over who will be the next president of the United States.
For some states, the result will be announced as soon as voting ends.
But for others, especially the seven battleground states: Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, Nevada and North Carolina, it could be hours or even days until we know the winner.
