Riding horse trainer Jay Waterhouse as her mother, Kings of Racing took a modern and chic spin on the typical extravagant racing outfit.
The journalist, 39, wore a fitted white dress with long sleeves and a ruffled hem that showed off her slender bobby pins, wearing black polka dot stockings.
Wearing sky-high heels, she swapped the traditional witch for a wide-brimmed fedora that sat atop her soft blonde tresses.
Kate finished off her look with some simple jewelry that flaunted her natural beauty with very little makeup in sight.

With a racy cutout across her bodice, the live from E!, 25 red carpet correspondent paired the elegant mid-calf dress with satin gloves that sat just above her elbows.

“My motto is little by little, but when it comes to race day outfits it’s like you just want to throw yourself in and it’s fun because everyone does,” Lucia told The Daily Telegraph on Saturday.
She added: “It’s something totally unique to us Australians. You have so much to play with, you have all the accessories with really bold colors and charming crumbs, and it’s a really fun way for your personality to shine through your outfit.”
Elsewhere, Scott Tweedy took to the “red” carpet in a sleek double-breasted blazer with black-on-grey trim.
You recently moved back to Australia after moving to the US to work for E! Mesh, he paired his blazer with simple black slacks and a white button-down collared shirt with a bow tie.
The Australian Idol host, 35, polished off the ensemble with a designer watch, a white pocket square, and shiny black heels while sporting his dark locks.
