Joe Biden opened a ten-point lead over President Donald Trump among registered voters in a Washington Post / ABC News poll, in a survey that took the corona virus pandemic and 40 million unemployed, but preceded angry street battles and protests after the death of George Floyd.
The strong showing was released on Sunday, as the former vice president is poised to potentially secure the democratic presidential nomination by a mathematician majority.
He essentially won it after his major rivals dropped out of the race, although Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who quit his campaign in April, is still trying to win delegates to impact the Democratic convention that will be in Milwaukee held this summer.

Biden’s lead over Trump drops to just 55-46 among those who say they will vote for sure, according to the poll – in an election that always involves challenging turnout models mixed up by the corona virus and a patchwork of efforts to enable mail-in voting.
Biden has a 50-42 lead over Trump when it comes to who is best prepared to tackle the coronavirus, and the two men are bound to deal with the economy amid massive unemployment caused by the pandemic.
