19-year-old teenager has been arrested on suspicion of murdering 18-year-old boy who disappeared after calling his family to say he was on his way home from a night out on Bank Holiday

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a teenager who disappeared while on his way home from a night out on Bank Holiday.
Marc Williams, 18, from Uckfield, Sussex, went to the Maresfield area on Saturday but has not been heard from since he told his family he was on his way home.
Sussex Police initially launched a missing persons request for Marc and for a 19-year-old.
But they now believe Marc may have been murdered and have since made an arrest.
A force spokesman said: ‘Marc went to the Maresfield area on Saturday night.
“He called his family around 11:30 p.m. to say he was on his way home but never returned. Unfortunately, detectives now believe Marc may have caused harm.

A 19-year-old man was arrested Tuesday (June 1) on suspicion of murder at a property in Eastbourne. The suspect is still in custody for questioning.’
Chief Inspector Alasdair Henry said: ‘Unfortunately, we are now treating Marc Williams’ disappearance as a criminal investigation and a suspect has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
“Finding Marc remains our priority and we continue to appeal to the public with all the information to please come forward and report it to us.
“Our thoughts are with Marc’s family at this incredibly difficult time and they are supported by specially trained officers.
“This investigation is a dynamic and fast-paced investigation and our agents are working around the clock to determine the circumstances of this incident.
“We thank the public for their patience as we continue our work in the area.
“This incident is being treated as isolated and there is no indication of a threat to the wider community.”

He called his family around 11:30 p.m. to let them know that he was on his way home but never returned.
The friend was last seen in Crowborough on Sunday morning around 11am, but has not returned home since.
Agents are now conducting door-to-door, CCTV and area searches as they work to determine their movements.
Marc is white, 1.85 meters tall, slim build and with short blond hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt, trousers, hiking boots and a black backpack.
It is believed he had a hoodie attached to his backpack and was carrying a green mountain bike.
