Preparing Garena Corporation To launch the first edition of the multi-regional tournament for the Free Fire game next May under the name Free Fire SEA Invitational (FFSI), it is expected that 18 teams from Malaysia, Cambodia, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Pakistan, As well as the regions of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The FFSI Championship is scheduled to run from May 12 to May 28, with participating teams competing for a chance to win a prize pool of $300,000. It will be divided into two phases, the Group Stage (May 12th to May 21st) and the Grand Finals Stage (May 26th to May 28th). 18 teams compete in the group stage, and 12 teams advance to the grand finals stage
In the group stage, the teams will be divided into 3 groups out of 6, and each team will play a total of 24 matches. As for how the groups are divided, the first-place owners will not be selected from the same region that qualifies for the group stage, and also, each group will not have more than two teams from the same region. Fans and players can follow the results of the group stage draw on May 7, which will reveal the line-ups for each group.
