A 15-year-old girl is fighting for her life after being injured in an accident allegedly involving a stolen car.

Five teenagers, aged between 13 and 17, were inside the allegedly stolen Toyota Camry when it crashed into a Lexus SUV at the intersection of Wonga and Delaneys roads, in Warranwood, in Melbourne’s east, shortly before 9pm. Friday morning.

The 15-year-old girl was found injured inside the car after the accident, while the other four teenagers fled the scene.

She was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the Lexus was unharmed.

The other four teenagers were later arrested by police near the crash site.

The Toyota Camry was allegedly stolen from Flora Hill overnight Wednesday.

A 17-year-old Flora Hill boy was charged with nine offences, including dangerous driving causing serious injury, theft of a motor vehicle, causing injury with intent, attempted theft of a motor vehicle, assault with a weapon and no help in an accident.

A 16-year-old boy was charged with vehicle theft and failure to assist in an accident.

Both will later face juvenile court.

Two other 13-year-old boys were released pending a summons.
