Jamie Carragher had plenty to say after Liverpool’s crushing 4-3 FA Cup defeat at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

Following Manchester United’s spectacular victory in what became a seven-goal thriller in the FA Cup, Amad Diallo was the unlikely hero after his goal in the 120th minute of extra time.

Full of drama, the tie saw United go down twice, including before half-time when Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah scored three minutes apart to give the visitors the lead.

A second time, when Harvey Elliott made it 3-2 in extra time, after Antony’s equalizer in the 87th minute.

The match ended in a victory for the hosts, with United booking a place at Wembley for their semi-final clash against Championship-chasing Coventry City.

The former Liverpool star wrote: “Amazing game and it’s a great result for Man United but Liverpool only have themselves to blame.” He scored three and yet the attacking players were all very poor.

“I can’t complain too much because they’ve been incredible all season. Bloody football hell!

Former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand posted a celebratory tweet on X, formerly Twitter titled ‘Wembley’ with the heart eyes emoji and a photo of Marcus Rashford celebrating alongside him with his former teammates.

Carragher responded to Ferdinand’s post writing: ‘Relax. Man City will beat you comfortably in the final and ETH will still be in charge next season.

‘It’s not the victory you think!!’ He added.

Man United defeated Liverpool for the 11th time in FA Cup history, and Erik Ten Hag is looking to salvage their disappointing season with some domestic cup titles.

Mo Salah and Rashford managed to score in a match full of drama, with the match won in the final shots of the match.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were hoping to achieve a historic quadruple in their final season, although Ten Hag’s fired-up Red Devils stood in the way of a second trophy.

Man United will play Coventry City at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, April 20, although they will have tough competition in the Premier League beforehand.

Ten Hag’s side welcome Liverpool back to Old Trafford after traveling to Stamford Bridge in their bid to keep their top four hopes alive.
