Oxford police chief Bill Partridge told AL.com that the father, who is not publicly identified, worked at the dealer.

The father realized that he had left his children in the car when he was called by their mother to ask how the twins were doing.

Police said the father had immediately called 911 and had already taken the children out of the car when the first responders arrived.

& # 39; He is a father who was desperate, & # 39; said Partridge.

& # 39; It's a scene you don't want to respond to. It is one of those things that will stay with you for the rest of your life. & # 39;
