1000-lb Sisters star Amy Slaton appeared in court Thursday to face drug and child endangerment charges, days after her arrest at a Tennessee zoo.
Slaton, 36, was reportedly bitten by a camel at Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo on Labor Day, but when police were called to the park about the bite, they noticed “suspicious odors” coming from his vehicle, according to deputies.
Responding officers discovered “what they believed to be mushrooms” and “what they believed to be marijuana” inside Slaton’s vehicle after smelling marijuana in the car and seeing the drugs “in plain view.”
Slaton and his friend Brian Scott Lovvorn were arrested and faces charges of unlawful possession of Schedule I, unlawful possession of Schedule VI, and two counts of endangering a minor.
At the time of the arrest, two children under the age of eight were in the car: Slaton’s sons, Gage Deon, 4, and Glenn Allen, 2. Tammy Slaton reportedly picked up the children after the arrest.

Slaton, who was seen frowning in a mugshot, was arrested after officers treating her camel bite found ‘magic mushrooms and marijuana’ in her car.
Slaton appeared unfazed as she arrived for her arraignment, as her attorney persisted in her claim that she had been bitten by a camel.
She received medical treatment at the zoo and was photographed being wheeled out of a Tennessee safari park on a stretcher with a bandage around her forearm.
Co-owner of Tennessee Safari Park Claude Conley, 44, denied that Slaton had been bitten and said that The US Sun “There are no bruises. She cut her arm on something, it’s not consistent with an animal bite.”

The rep told the publication: “Amy’s brother Chris Combs and the Hughes bail bonds company bailed them both out of Crockett County Jail together and left with Chris.”

The couple share two children and reportedly clashed over her appearance on the TLC reality show.
