Netflix fans released a new trailer after the Euro 2021 final, calling the new show “incredibly shitty.”

July 2021 was a devastating day for England football fans as the Euro trophy slipped through their fingers.

However, the day was not only marred by England’s defeat, as ugly scenes showed hordes of ticketless fans breaching security and forcing their way into the stadium.

According to Chris Williams, an AIPS journalist, the capacity of Wembley Stadium, which was set at 60,000 people, was exceeded by 5,000 people.

After Italy beat England on penalties, images emerged on social media of incidents occurring both inside and outside the stadium as ticketless fans gathered.

There were also violent scenes in London’s Leicester Square and at Wembley before and after the penalty shootout defeat.

On that day, police made 86 arrests, including 53 in Wembley, for a range of offences, including public order offences, ABH, drink and disorderly conduct and criminal damage.

F1 driver Lando Norris was also left “shocked” after the event after she was mugged for her £40,000 watch.

However, England fans are not too keen to see that Netflix plans to repeat their loss and the violent scenes that erupted afterwards.

Many have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to express their frustration, with one football fan writing: “We don’t want to see this.”

“This seems incredibly shit,” a second wrote, while another asked, “Why do we have to relive this?”

Another asked: ‘Can we make a documentary about the success of the Lionesses please?’

‘Pity. “When the women’s team took gold on home soil for the first time in over 50 years and changed the game going forward,” added a third.

;Maybe we have to wait another year for that, like what happened in 2022.’

Not only was the day marred by England's defeat, ugly scenes of ticketless fans breaching security and forcing their way onto the concourses also ruined the football match (pictured).

A third said: ‘Lots of England fans say they won’t watch this! Not interested! Probably embarrassed!’

“I still have a very unpleasant feeling about that day and it will be a tough watch but it is something we must watch and learn, it felt like an 80s riot on Wembley Way,” joked another.

“Who makes a documentary about an embarrassing sports defeat?” asked one fan, while another joked: “Disaster, you know?” How dramatic…!

‘I’m not sure what’s worse. The real subject of the documentary or the terrible comment during the march,’ said one user.
